They go again for another season in the second-tier Following Hamburg spectacularly withdrew their promotion chances last season. They have started well, however, together with four points from their opening two, and I’m backing them to beat a Bochum side who have only one point and six concessions out of their very first few.
An unbelievable 4-0 away hammering of Nurnburg within their final trip sees Hamburg head to this one teeming with confidence.
Next up, I’m backing Vitesse to beat Zwolle at the Eredivisie with a -1 handicap.
Vitesse have conquered Zwolle in their past three meetings–all of that by a margin of at least two aims –and by what we’ve seen previously this year, it’s hard to imagine a different outcome.
The people lost their opening two games of the year 3-1 against Utrecht and Willem II, while Vitesse drew with Ajax in their opener before beating the above Willem II 2-0 on the road.
Evens seems a good price.
Huddersfield have looked awful this year, and with all the pressure already cranking up on boss Jan Siewert, I’m backing a second home defeat — now against Fulham.
So far this year, the Terriers have lost at home to Derby, drawn at QPR and finally on Tuesday were thrown out of their Carabao Cup from League One Lincoln.
Fulham also started off poorly with a defeat at Barnsley, however a fantastic home win against Blackburn got them back on course, and I believe they’ve far too much quality to fall points against a Huddersfield ensemble who look bereft of any sort of assurance.
