Rangers and Graham Dorrans have reached a mutual agreement to get an early end to the time of the midfielder at Ibrox.
The 32-year-old combined the Gers on a deal in 2017 out of Norwich.
However, he had been plagued with injuries during his period and made just 23 appearances in two years – only three of which came beneath Steven Gerrard.
Rangers’ agreement with Dorrans, who’d been training with the youth team in recent months, would be similar to one they struck Kyle Lafferty earlier in the window.
Gerrard was eager on before the transfer window shuts on Monday night to move fringe players, and then there might be additional departures before the deadline.
The forward, joe Dodoo, could leave on loan, while Albanian winger Eros Grezda is available for transfer – but there is yet to be any offers for his services.
One player who has abandoned is Jake Hastie, with all the winger – who came at Rangers out of Motherwell this summer – joining Rotherham to a season-long loan.
